Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden title for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term coach his previous coach.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his first title since the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
Success also signifies Medvedev has secured twenty-one championships at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to secure a title is really nice," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in Halle in the past months.
The player's retrieving strategy and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had led commentators to wonder if his skill to perform at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair swapped breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a point at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
